CN is proud to support Shelter Movers and its mission to provide
free moving and storage services to individuals and families fleeing
abuse. CN believes strong communities are built through collective
action and partnerships that create meaningful, lasting impact.
The inaugural Philanthropy Award recognizes a partner whose
generosity, leadership and commitment to community help
advance this mission, supporting survivors as they leave unsafe
situations and rebuild their lives with greater security and
independence.
This year, George Weston Limited is recognized for its
longstanding commitment to the communities it serves and its
valued partnership with Shelter Movers over the past two years.
Through company-wide giving, employee-led initiatives and
charity golf tournaments, George Weston has brought employees
together in support of Shelter Movers’ work.
One particularly meaningful example is George Weston’s creation
of Back-to-School Comfort Kits for children supported by Shelter
Movers. Filled with essential school supplies, these kits help
children starting over in new communities feel prepared, included
and supported.
Shelter Movers is honoured to recognize George Weston Limited
as the inaugural recipient of its Philanthropy Award, celebrating
its generosity, leadership and meaningful contribution to building
stronger communities.
